I raced home tonight trying to get an update before Christal went off to dreamland. I didn't get much of an update, but it was better than nothing. Thankfully, I caught her in during a pump cycle. It didn't last long.
Basically, Aliyah didn't gain any weight today. Christal's Kangaroo Care wasn't very good either. Christal mentioned the CPAP wasn't aligned very well on Aliyah's face. This may have contributed to her heart rate falling many times today. Days like this really make you appreciate the good days :). There are times when you think she will be coming home next month. Days like today grow our patience. One thing I DO know, we are one day closer today than we were yesterday. We all have to walk and grow individually. In life, we have to run our own race. Aliyah will be fine. She just has some more growing she needs to do before she comes home. No doubt, tomorrow will be better and we will be one day closer to coming home together.
