Aliyah had a lot of activity around here today. Her weight gain is a bit deceiving. She is on the ventilator again, so part of the weight gain is contributed to the ventilator. She had her eyes examined today. The doctor stated she was not regressing, but her eyes will be monitored every 2 weeks to make sure nothing changes. She will remain on the I.V. with no feeding (antibiotics). The doctors will continue to check her blood for any sign of bacteria or anything that would be responsible for her getting sick.
Aliyah was resting as well as she could under the circumstances. She had I.V.'s running from both hands, tubes in her mouth, and her eyes were dilated for the eye exam. She is definitely one tough cookie.
We won't be able to hold her until she gets off the ventilator. It was good seeing her today.
