Well, you can tell Aliyah is feeling better. She is active and moving around. She is also back to her "sneak-a-poop" ways during the diaper change!
Every diaper change, we have a set routine.
1) Place new diaper under old one (in case we have an unexpected release)
2) Open and fold the old diaper
3) Wipe down with a wet cloth
4) Rub a thick lotion on her skin to prevent her skin from becoming raw
5) Close the new diaper.
Saturday, she almost messed up a clean diaper as I was changing her (between steps 3 & 4). The nurse noticed, and caught the fresh poop in a wet cloth. The same thing happened with Christal on Tues. Christal was in the process of applying the lotion and ..... well you know. The nurse's comment, "She does that to me every time!" Now, I hope you understand how we go through so many diapers during one change. Christal has the record with 4 messed up diapers before the diaper change was complete.
The medical staff is close moving Aliyah to a crib again. Prayerfully, she will be able to handle the transition. If she can, we can hold her anytime we want to going forward.
